A unique discussion platform for “Investment for Development” was launched at the "Novosibirsk Expocentre"
The industrial-park projects forum “In Park-2012” is taking place at the International Exhibition Center "Novosibirsk Expocentre”. The Forum’s main topic is "Industrial parks as a way of creating and regulating cost-effective areas." More than 200 representatives of Russian and foreign companies are taking part in the Forum, as well as authorities of the Russian Federation, investors and representatives of the business community. The Forum is a unique platform for the discussion of modern technology and investment for development of the Russian regions, as well as for the exchange of experience on industrial parks projects. The program includes sessions on the four main areas of industrial park operation: information, infrastructure, investment and initiative.At the opening ceremony of the "Novosibirsk Expocentre", Governor Vasily Yurchenko stressed the importance of this event for the region and for the state:
“Today, the ideology of Industrial-Techno Park Projects is current and in demand in the Russian Federation, for the development of the economy and the regions of the country, especially for the Novosibirsk region. Our region has implemented three such projects: Technopark in Akademgorodok , Novosibirsk, an Industrial- Logistics and Biotech Park. Today we come to yet another Park area; just a week ago, together with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation we considered the future development of the airport "Tolmachevo". It’s clear for the federal and regional authorities the dynamics of the airport, the plan is to open a free port area: an industrial-logistics zone at the airport. So far we have met the federal target program for the reconstruction of the airport. According to the program, the plan is to create a single complex, which will join the international terminal with the domestic one, new infrastructure platforms and logistics facilities to expand the airport. This project will provide a major effect in the development of the whole macro-region. Today we are working with the federal government on this issue” said Mr. Yurchenko.
As part of the opening ceremony, the first agreement on investment intentions between Sberbank of Russia and the management company "Industrial and Logistics Park" of Novosibirsk was signed. Under the contract, an agreement was reached to change the dynamics of concretion of the logistical-industrial park project.
“This is made possible by the fact that we have passed the first stage of the infrastructure, and today a large number of residents exist. The potential of this area is huge, and we plan to further develop it,” addedthe Governor.
This is the first loan dedicated to infrastructure development of industrial parks. The cooperation between the bank and the company "Industrial and Logistics Park of Novosibirsk Region" aims to a joint financial structure for the development and implementation of projects between the managing company and residents of the park: infrastructure, industrial, office, warehouse and other facilities, as well as information and consulting support of mutual interest to parties are some of them.According to the press service of the regional government, several more investment agreements are expected to be signed at the Forum between market participants.
