The Third International Forum of Technological Development “Technoprom 2015” opened at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex
On June 4, 2015 the Novosibirsk Expo Centre saw the opening of the exhibition held as part of the International Forum of Technological Development “TECHNOPROM 2015”.
The 3rd International Forum of Technological Development “Technoprom 2015” includes three main components: the national exhibition, discussions, and the Siberian Venture Fair.
The main subject presented at the 9th Siberian Venture Fair is innovative business and the growth potential of companies, with a total of 45 exponents.
The “TECHNOPROM 2015” exhibition – “This is the Place for Innovations to Be Introduced” – is featuring over 150 companies from Russia, France, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and other countries; exponents are presenting their state-of-the-art equipment, innovative technologies, solutions, and products capable of becoming the base for technological breakthrough of the Russian economy.
The exhibition also includes a special platform for technology presentations and workshops TECHNO View, where the most interesting innovative projects and technologies will be presented to the participants and guests of the event.
The event will also be accompanied by the photo exhibition “The Siberian Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences – People and Years”, the exhibition of micro-miniatures “Wonders under a Microscope” made by Novosibirsk craftsman Vladimir Aniskin, and the exhibition of holograms.
The first day of the Forum was marked by the plenary session “Development Management. National Priorities in Technological Sphere” devoted to the following topics:
- What should the list of national technological priorities be like?
- What trends of the world scientific and technological progress do we place great importance on in the context of pursuing our national goals?
- How effective is the system of managing technological development in Russia and what shall we change in it?
- Who can we rely upon when implementing the technological strategy of Russia: state-owned corporations, universities, and research organizations, private companies?
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry O. Rogozin present at the opening of the plenary session, noted in his welcoming speech that the forum had not only become a remarkable event in the life of Siberia, but it is also the reflection of the modern need for global development of the regions and the whole of Russia.
“I suppose that having assessed today’s political, economic risks and threats, the participants of the forum ought to offer new sources and non-standard solutions for activating the economic processes in Russia. The President of Russia has set the course for import substitution in various spheres of the economy, first of all, the industrial production sphere. We need to develop our own technological base, ensure integration of new production lines into research and education institutions. Siberian enterprises and research organizations possess cutting-edge technologies that are renowned all over the world and have huge export potential. These are primarily the technologies in the sphere of satellite, global positioning system production, airplane construction, use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes. Siberia is also the leader in the field of nanotechnologies and several other priority areas of economic development. We have a lot to offer our partners”.
The Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Vladimir F. Gorodetsky said that it was not by accident that Novosibirsk had become a platform for conducting the forum devoted to the aforementioned topics.
“The Novosibirsk Region has been put on the list of the most dynamically developing entities of the Russian Federation. Our region is featuring a powerful arsenal of development hubs like technological industrial parks; we’ve done a big job of developing innovative structures, built an effective system of supporting small and medium-size businesses – such a complex integrated structure indeed offers a few strong advantages of the Siberian Region”.
On June 5th participants of the Forum will take part in the Symposium “Dynamics of Industrial Growth of the Country, the Region, and the World”, the roundtable discussion “National Research Universities: on the Way to Technological Breakthrough”, the strategic session “Reindustrialization of Regions: the Novosibirsk Region”.
