The International Children’s Day Was Celebrated by a Grand Holiday in Novosibirsk

The Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex hosted a holiday for children devoted to the International Children’s Day. Over 4,000 children and their parents visited the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex on June 1^st.

The largest exhibition complex of Siberia hadturned into The Childhood Island for the whole day. Play spaces for children of different ages were organized at three areas of the complex. A swimming pool and a huge balloon, which became a perfect decoration of the holiday, were placed right in front of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex. Besides, the open area of the complex included various sports and entertainment stations as well as kiosks with different delicacies.   

The opening of the holiday took place at the hall on the 1^st floor, where there was a stage decorated in the ‘pirate’ style just like a real uninhabited island in the open ocean. This ‘island’ featured performances of little artists all day through. The guests of the holiday could see students of the Novosibirsk State Choreography College, dance studioFlexx5, music studio ‘Azbuka HIT’. Young models from the Russian Glitter Agency demonstrated the latest clothing collections for children ‘above age 5’, ‘April’ Art Studio prepared the competition of carnival costumes ‘That’s Carnival!’ and a large carnival procession for our youngest ‘islanders’. Host of the holiday dressed up as a real pirate amused the guests with jokes and funny stories. 

The 3^rd floor of the complex featured training areas devoted to robotics, coloring of pictures, handicrafts, and many more.  Each 2 hours guests of the event were competing for modern gadgets – cellphones and tablet PCs. Organizers had also prepared a large cake for those who like sweets. None of the guests remained uninterested in such a treat.

This large-scale even was organized by the Administrationof the Novosibirsk District and the ‘Siberia EXPO’ Company. Head of the Novosibirsk District Vasily Bormatov congratulated all the guests on the International Children’s Day and the 75^th Anniversary of the Novosibirsk District, since the ‘Childhood Island’ Children’s Holiday was scheduled to coincide with this landmark date.
