SKILLET in Novosibirsk
On November 10 the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex will be hosting a grand concert of the legendary rock group from Memphis SKILLET. Leaders of Christian rock will present their latest album called ‘Rise!’ as part of their Russian tour. In addition to Novosibirsk, SKILLET will also give concerts in other cities including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk, and Yekaterinburg.
The band already visited Russia in November 2011. The band’s musicians call the Russian audience their hottest fans in their interviews.
Christian rockers achieved true fame with their three latest albums – ‘Comatose’ (2006), ‘Awake’ (2009), ‘Rise’ (2013).
According to the organizers, the new concert show by SKILLET will sure include a few pleasant surprises for the fans of the band.

Skillet is a rock band from Memphis, Tennessee founded in 1996. The band’s discography currently consists of 13 albums. The band’s lineup includes John Cooper, his wife Korey Cooper, Jen Ledger, and Seth Morrison.
The album Collide was nominated for Grammy Award as the ‘Best Rock Gospel Album’ in 2005, and in 2007 Comatose was nominated for Grammy Award as the ‘Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album’.
The band’s lineup underwent a few changes in 18 years. John Cooper is the only original member of the band. Various session musicians also often took part in concerts and the recording of albums.
The second album Hey You, I Love Your Soul marked a change in the band’s style – its transition from grunge to calmer alternative rock.
On February 1, 2000 Skillet released the album Invincible on which the sound of the band had changed drastically. The quality of post-industrial rock in the band’s recordings became more expressed and modern.
