‘SibComak/SibstroyExpo’ and IDES Siberia Exhibitions Opened at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex

The last day of September in the Exhibition Complex was marked by the opening of international exhibitions devoted to equipment and technologies for urban utility and engineering infrastructure, as well as construction and road-building machinery ‘SibComak/SibstroyExpo’ and IDES Siberia.

The exhibitions are featuring over 180 companies from Germany, Italy, China, Korea, Japan, and Russia.

The opening ceremony featured Chief Federal Inspector for the Novosibirsk Region Vadim Golovko, Anatoly Sobolev, temporarily acting as the First Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Deputy Chairman of the Construction, Housing and Utility Complex, and Tariff Committee at the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region Dmitry Kozlovsky, President of the Department of Housing, Urban Development and Reconstruction at the Expert Chamber of the European Union Marco Ferrario, Director of the Italian Entrepreneurship Confederation CONFIMEA and the President of the Lombardy Union of Entrepreneurs Sylvia Bertolotti, President of the European Energy Efficiency Consortium Rodolfo Leoni. 

The honorary guests noted the importance and significance of ‘SibComak/SibstroyExpo’ and IDES Siberia exhibitions for the development of international partnership in the sphere of urban construction and social development.

For example, President of the Department of Housing, Urban Development and Reconstruction at the Expert Chamber of the European Union Marco Ferrario noted in his speech that the Siberian-Italian Forum held as part of the IDES Siberia Exhibition will become a great tool for strengthening the interaction between Italian companies and many Siberian organizations that work in the construction sphere.

Besides, Marco Ferrario emphasized extreme importance of international cooperation including that in the exhibition format especially now, during the period of global uncertainty.  

‘I’m convinced that at this moment of global uncertainty, exchange of ideas and working on joint programs will help Russia and the European Union find the necessary balance and give a new impulse to the intentions of both parties to get back on track of international cooperation and exchange of technologies. This common goal is the reason I am again ready to confirm the interest and the readiness of the Department of Housing, Urban Development and Reconstruction, which I’m the President of, to continue our work aimed at supporting the urban and social development of the Siberian Region. Such events today hold the key to achieving results with a high quality level thanks to the interaction between a large amount of experts and operators of the sphere interested in the exchange of experience and knowledge’, said Marco Ferrario.Both exhibitions will be open until October 3.

The program of the events also includes several large conferences, roundtable discussions, and seminars devoted to considering relevant problems of the sphere.
