Representatives of Japan Arrived in Novosibirsk with an Official Visit

Japanesedelegation headed by the Attaché of the Japanese Embassy in Russia for Science and Technologies Mr. Yutaka Hara arrived in Novosibirsk with an official visit.

According to the information provided by the press service of the Novosibirsk Region Government, the members of the Japanese delegation got acquainted with the scientific, industrial, and economic potential of the Region. Among other things, the authorities of the Novosibirsk Region shared their experience of forming the Novosibirsk agglomeration with their Japanese colleagues, as well as told them about the International Forum of Technological Development ‘Technoprom’ to be held in Novosibirsk for the third time in June 2015.   

Apart from that, the members of the delegation visited the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex and the Technopark of the Novosibirsk Akademgorodok (Academic Town). The delegates also attended the exhibition of scientific achievements and new research results of the Russian Academy of Sciences Siberian Department (RAS SD), as well as met with the RAS SD academicians Aleksandr Aseyev, Mikhail Epov, Nikolay Pokhilinko, Nikolay Lyakhov, and the President of the Novosibirsk State University Mikhail Fedoruk. The participants of the meeting agreed upon cooperation in the sphere of staff training, Arctic exploration, and the introduction of new technologies.

During the seminar titled ‘Commercialization of University Research Results. The Japanese Experience’ the Japanese experts shared their experience of creating an innovative infrastructure at universities and forming the system of project assessment and promotion.
