New technologies - new roads

The round table, organized by "Polymer-Highways," brought together experts in the field of road construction, professional regulatory bodies, representatives of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region. The panelists were trying to figure out - what measures should be taken to accelerate the introduction of new technologies in road construction. Without it, the experts said “ it is difficult to improve the quality of roads and extend their service life”.

The round table experts of "Polymer-Highways" and the “FAE” company, gathered on the parking area by the "Novosibirsk Expocentre" where they conducted the presentation on Paving with polymer additives and special equipment. This technology, is applied to all the layers of the road, using special machines that crush the soil into the ground or sand-gravel , with the resulting particles not exceeding 5 mm in diameter. Then the polymer stabilizer is injected into ground, displacing and binding all residual water. The layer is then compacted by rollers and in 2-3 hours the treated soil becomes either a solid base for pavement, or wear layer in no way inferior in performance to traditional asphalt.
