International Dance Sports Contest “Novosibirsk Region Governor Cup” to be held at the Novosibirsk Expo Centre

The right to conduct official contest events was delegated to the Novosibirsk Region Physical Training and Sports Department and the Novosibirsk Region Dance Sports Federation.

The traditional International Dance Sports Contest “Novosibirsk Region Governor Cup” has been conducted since 2001 and is considered one of the largest sports events in Russia. The contest was twice nominated for the “Exercise” National Award as the dance contest of the year in 2006 and 2008. 

The contest program includes competitions for all age groups. Exhibition performances of the champions are also planned.   

The contest will feature over 40 judges from Russia, Norway, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan etc. The panel of judges will include specialists of the First, All-Russia, and International categories.

In 2012 the “Novosibirsk Region Governor Cup” became the largest and the most impressive contest held in the Novosibirsk Federal District within a few last years in terms of participants present (over 2000 dancers from different regions).
