During the Industrial Week in Novosibirsk a number of agreements were signed with a large Italian syndicate.
The list of honoured guests of the exhibition included the President of the European Department for Housing, Urban Development and Reconstruction of the EU Chamber of Experts Marco Ferrario, President of the Consortium "Aquae Italiana" Angelo Cresco, President of the European Energy Efficiency Consortium Rudolfo Leoni, Governor of the Novosibirsk region Vasiliy Yurchenko, President of the Regional Legislative Assembly Ivan Moroz, Mayor of Novosibirsk Vladimir Gorodetsky.
At the Opening Vasiliy Yurchenko noted:
"Already for the second time we host an exhibition in Novosibirsk, which is very relevant for the economy of any state and any region. Among the visitors are representatives of foreign and Russian companies which demonstrate highly demanded solutions in the field of energy efficiency and resource conservation".
The Opening ceremony included the signing of cooperation memoranda with the Water Consortium "Aquae Italiana", the European Department for Housing, Urban Development and Reconstruction of the EU Chamber of Experts and the Russian Association of Solar Energy. The agreements apply to cooperation in the areas of social and economic development, development of favourable economic climate with the purpose of attracting foreign investment into the Novosibirsk regional economy and growth stimulation of the high-tech industries (particularly solar energy).
Speaking on the significance of the signed memorandum for development and strengthening of the bilateral cooperation, Head of the Novosibirsk region stated:
"Russian market is very capacious, there is a great potential for increasing the energy efficiency of the economy. Many foreign companies realise it and want to enter. Today we signed the memorandum in order to achieve a closer cooperation, to show that it is possible and necessary to launch manufacturing here, that an integrated approach is required. It is the beginning of a new cooperation phase with the leading world and Russian companies".
"We are confident, the future belongs to the state-private partnership – stressed Rodolfo Leoni in his speech, – Russia is of special interest to us and we hope our participation in such a respectable industrial forum will help us find ways of further mutual development".
Besides, the honoured guests were among the first visitors of the exhibition and became acquainted with the products and developments displayed at it. Summarizing the results of the exhibition review, Vasiliy Yurchenko shared his impressions:
"Today I saw many articles useful for economy and entrepreneurs in the area of energy intensive technologies. Certainly also some unique showpieces specific for particular factory types are represented here. We need to change our psychology and our comprehension of the resources being cheap and unnecessary to be preserved. It is wrong. Irresponsible and wasteful treating of resources is very costly and counterproductive for business, for economics as a whole".
