‘Childhood Island’ Holiday to Be Held in Novosibirsk
On June 1, Children’s Day the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex will turn into ‘Childhood Island’ - a grand holiday that coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Novosibirsk District.
The holiday organized by the Administration of the Novosibirsk District and the Siberia Expo Company will become the first vibrant chord of the summer and offer its visitors an extensive cultural, sports, and entertainment program for children of all ages.
The ‘Childhood Island’ Holiday will offer a very rich program. The magic trip, which is to continue until 6.00 P.M., will start at 10.00 A.M. on the deck of the frigate placed at the hall of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex. The little guests will be congratulated by Vasily Bormatov, Head of the Novosibirsk District. No one will remain unnoticed on this day: the best and most creative participants will receive prizes and thanks from the Administration of the Novosibirsk District. Ahugepiewill serve as a sweet presentfor guests of the Childhood Island.
After the end of the opening ceremony, artists from Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region will start performing on stage. The guests will be entertained by the students of the Novosibirsk State Choreography College, dance studio Flexx5 with a vibrant show, music studio ‘Azbuka HIT’, and many more. FashionSummer Show will become a true celebration of children’s fashion. Young models from The Russian Glitter agency will demonstrate new clothing for children ‘above age 5’. The holiday will be continued by ‘April’ Art Studio, which prepared the competition of carnival costumes ‘That’s Carnival!’ and a large carnival procession for the youngest ‘Islanders’.
Organizers of the holiday promise: no one is going to leave without presents! Each 2 hours guests of the event will be competing for modern gadgets – cellphones and tablet PCs. And the hall and the outdoor area of the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex will turn into a real ‘archipelago’ of sports, entertainment, and educational stations. Tactile zoo, the Nutty Professor’s Lab ‘Discoverers’, beach volleyball contest, hair-braiding and face-painting workshops, cooking show, mini Olympiad, and robot performances – everyone will find something that suits their heart and age.

Guests of the holiday will be able to use special buses that will take all passengers to the Childhood Island. The buses will be departing from Karl Marx Square Bus Stop at 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M., from the bus stop near Pervomaisky Park at Lenin Square, and at 11.00 A.M. to 18.00 P.M. from the Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex.
