All-Russian Combat Festival to Be Held in Novosibirsk
On April 10-13 Novosibirsk will become the centre of sports events. The Novosibirsk Expo Centre International Exhibition Complex will be hosting All-Russian Combat Festival. Four thousand athletes from the Siberian, North-West, Ural, and the Far East Federal Districts will arrive in the capital of Siberia to take part in the Festival.
The participants of the Festival will compete in the following types of martial arts:
- Aikido;
- Jiu-Jitsu;
- Karate;
- Kobudō;
- Wushu;
- Hand-to-hand fighting;
- Spochan;
- Taekwondo;
- Grappling;
- Judo;
- Savate.
Various workshops will be held during the festival, including a CrossFit workshop supervised by the President of the Novosibirsk Region Federation of Functional Sports, Chief Coach of CrossFit Berloga Club Alexey Snurnitsin, and featuring the 2013 Champion of Russia Pavel Petruchenya and the 2013 Vice-Champion of Russia Roman Grischenko. Team-based (2 men + 1 woman) and individual contests of the Open Championship of CrossFit Berloga Club will be also conducted.
The Siberian Aikido Festival headed by the President of the International Aikido Federation Christian Ritor (5th Aikido Dan, Paris, France), President of the ‘Russian Jikishinkai Federation’ Ognyan Naidov-Zhelezov (6th Aikido Dan, Moscow, Russia), Head of the‘Gakumon Dojo’ Club Mikhail Safronov (5th Aikido Dan, Moscow, Russia) will also take place as part of the Festival.
