A Major Contact Event of Innovative Economy – the 9th Siberian Venture Fair
The 9th Siberian Venture Fair was held on June 4 – 5, 2015 as part of the 3rd International Forum of Technological Development “TECHNOPROM 2015”.
For the past 9 years the Fair has been a key contact event of innovative economics in the Novosibirsk Region that allows raising the competence of venture entrepreneurship, do an expert evaluation of an investment project, find partners for innovative business development, establish direct contacts between investors and investment companies.
First Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Anatoly K. Sobolev, who attended the official opening of the 9th Siberian Venture Fair, said:
“The Venture Fair has become the traditional platform for discussions and interaction between Russian and foreign specialists in the sphere of scientific and research cooperation, as well as the development of science-driven economy, where venture capital is one of the most preferred ways of performing difficult tasks: including the Siberian Region in the process of forming a new technological mode, as well as strengthening the investment attractiveness of the Novosibirsk Region. An important component of these efforts is working out key directions of attracting and efficiently using resources in order to determine areas of increasing the amount of advanced research activities and realizing the potential of the region’s technological development”.
The 2015 congress section of the Siberian Venture Fair includes 19 events, 3 of which are held together with the Forum “Technoprom 2015”.
Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Andrey A. Fursenko present at the central event of the 9th Siberian Venture Fair – the plenary session “Smart Investments. Opportunities for the Development of Innovative Ecosystem in Russia” – noted that “Novosibirsk is one of the main cities, where such events are in demand and where these events are stable enough and understandable for many people”.
The contest of exhibits at which innovative and investment potential of projects, as well as several important parameters of businesses being presented will be assessed, traditionally serves as the closing event of the Siberian Venture Fair.
