AGGLOMERATION DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

The second All-Russian Conference “Development of Agglomerations in Russia” is a major expert platform for professionally discussing the process of inter-municipal interaction, which is used for reviewing progressive ideas of strategic development for Russian and foreign agglomerations and cities, forming new approaches to working out the strategies and scenarios of their development, improving regulatory, budget, urban-planning support of agglomeration development, designing mechanisms of effective interaction between authorities, business communities, and the society in order to increase investment attraction and competitiveness of territories.     

Interested heads of the Russian Federation entities, representatives of foreign countries, as well as heads of municipalities, representatives of business structures, non-governmental organizations, scientific and expert communities were invited to take part in the conference.

The program of the conference is comprised of plenary sessions and roundtable discussions including the following:

• Presentation of the best world practices in the sphere of developing agglomerations in Russia and abroad;
• Demonstration of the most impressive results of strategic and territorial planning of urban agglomeration development;
• Search for solution to the most frequent practical problems in the sphere of developing urban agglomerations in Russia.

The conference will also include an exhibition featuring expositions devoted to the formation of urban agglomerations in various regions of Russia and foreign countries.
